February Prayer Letter

Dear Friend,

May the Lord's never-ending mercies encompass you anew today!

The Apostle Paul asked for prayers: "Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored..." (2 Thessalonians 3:1). Would you pray that for us, also? Unless God softens the heart of the hearers to honor His Word, all the great truths that I expound on will not be of much value. Pray that the Word may speed ahead and be honored.

Praise:

- We had been planning to video record the content of the current Worship Seminar in January. I was too busy to pull together the details so we postponed that plan. The week before the last Worship Seminar in Janaury, the host church asked if we would like to video record the event. They had the necessary equipment and a great looking setting. We agreed, and the recording was done. We still need to wait to see the footage (they will be sending it soon on a hard drive), but so far it looks promising. Thank God for unexpected blessings!

- I was blessed to attend a by-invitation-only gathering of key people involved in worship. The event was held in Orlando (in January, that's a major plus in my book!), all expenses were paid by someone else, and it was a good time of refreshing for me and others. We thank God for His favor!

Prayer Requests:

- Scheduling: There is just one weekend in the first half of this year that we would like to schedule. The majority of our scheduling efforts are focused on the second half of the year. Please pray that the Lord shows us -- clearly and obviously -- the doors He wants us to walk through.

- We have begun the process of contacting publishers about the Estonian revival book. Pray for us to locate the right publisher who will do a good job with this amazing story.

- I mentioned last month about working on another manuscript. This one is about worship. Thank you for your prayers. I have added lots in the past month and it is beginning to feel a bit more complete. Keep praying for clarity of thought and clear direction from God as I work to finish it.

- I would also like to encourage you to pray for our technology consultant and friend, Phil Mahder. Phil's gifts are, in many ways, complementary to mine. What I do with theological concepts of worship -- putting them into simple terms for everyday folks -- Phil does for worship technology issues like sound, video and lighting. Please pray that God continues to open doors for Phil to use his gifts and talents to help churches more fully accomplish the Lord's plans and purposes.
