Dear Friend,
May God Himself overwhelm you with His all-encompassing mercy today!
"For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened" (Luke 11:10). I love the promises of God. He never lies (Titus 1:2). Let's trust His Word together.
Praise Items:
• All of the people I've spoken to at radio stations where we sent copies of the WorshipMinute.com CDs have told us how much they love the content. The recording is nice, too, but the content is the whole point. Praise the Lord!
• We've been spending lots of time scheduling events for next year. At this point, if everything stays as is, we have just four weekends still available for the first half of 2011. Thank God for His favor!
• In the past couple months we've been able to complete a few major projects. The aforementioned WorshipMinute.com would be at the top of the list, but there are others, too. The Worship Seminar brochure and manual have both been revamped. The Worship Seminar website got a major facelift (to coincide with the new seminar materials). All of these are big milestones, and we thank God for the ability to complete them.
Prayer Items:
• The first seminar in September will mark twelve weeks since our last ministry event. That is the longest stretch of "down time" in this ministry in more than a decade. To put it in perspective, the longest non-travel time is generally around Christmas. This year there will be (at most) six weeks between the last event of 2010 and the first one in 2011. So this summer was twice that long. As a result, finances are beyond being tight. Please pray for God's intervention in bringing in the necessary income for this ministry.
• Scheduling: We are now focusing our scheduling efforts on next year (although we do still have one available weekend in December). We're asking that you continue to pray so that we recognize the places where God wants to use this ministry and that we would be faithful to do what He has called us to do.
• We are working on a new promo video for the Worship Seminar. I've never done anything quite like this before. Someone donated the necessary software, but the learning curve is pretty big. I'm beginning to feel a little bit comfortable with some of the program's features, but there is much to learn. The good part is that this knowledge will be very usefull for other areas, like WorshipLeadingAnswers.com for example. Pray that I catch on quickly and retain what I learn along the way.
• Please also pray for Phil Mahder, our technology consultant. Phil's knowledge of and practical help with worship technology issues (sound, video projection and recording, lighting, sanctuary design, etc.) is a vital part of this ministry. God continues to open doors across the country for Phil in amazing ways. Please pray that God will use Phil's gifts and talents to help churches more fully accomplish His plans and purposes.
